Winning The Affiliate Marketing Game |

It should come as no surprise that affiliate marketers are constantly searching for that optimum pie-in-the-sky product which will provide the largest possible payout, while possessing unheralded customer appeal.
We could all be so lucky to be the first to find such a product, before anyone else.
The reality is it's a bit more complicated than that, mostly putting good marketing practices to work for you.
Oh, that pie-in-the-sky product will occasionally cross your path, the problem being it will happen after everyone else has already saturated the market with it.
That's life in an affiliate's world.
So you then learn to take what's out there, but showcase it better or differently than everyone else, thereby setting yourself apart from every other humdrum affiliate marketer.
The following winning tactics are meant to set you apart from the other affiliates, and steer you onto the road to success.
To start, let's first talk about showcasing each and every product separately on its own dedicated, unique, and exciting website.
At one time or another, each one of us has fallen into the trap of lumping different products together on one website. It was usually done in a misguided effort to cut down on web hosting costs.
Of course that was when hosting fees were $35 or more a month, and having a dozen different websites could propel the cost upwards to well over $500 a month.
Today, things are different. The hosting market has become extremely competitive, with unbelievably low monthly hosting fees and even free blogs.
Now, there really is no excuse not to have separate websites for each product if you want to achieve full impact value from your products.
But there really is an even more important reason for not lumping different products on one website, it's the same reason you would never put a $2500 bridal gown on display in a hardware store?
It just would not be done for all the obvious reasons. Then don't do it online either if you don't want to look like a complete newbie affiliate.
OPOW - one product/one website.
Here then are a few more key winning techniques to propel you to the top of your game.
- Get that new dot com name for each and every product you are showcasing, you're only looking at $6 each
- Build a professional, first-class product review home page to acquaint visitors with the benefits your product will provide
- Hire a writer if you feel less than qualified to do the review page yourself
- Keep graphics and pictures to an absolute minimum
- Be subtle, not in their face, yet persuasive with your presentation
- Always try to sell the sizzle not the steak, people prefer to learn how your product will make them feel good about themselves, not how good it is
- Make sure visitors can subscribe to your weekly newsletter, so they get to see your product by autoresponder at least once a week
- That same autoresponder can also be used to keep them up-to-date on changes, price updates, new and ongoing information
- Showcase testimonials with pictures of satisfied customers
- Write specific product articles to ezines, newsletters, and article directories. Talk up your product, encourage email questions, and direct them to your website
- Set a goal to write a minimum two articles per week, roughly 400-700 words in length to get your name out there, point out your product knowledge, to help build a strong subscriber base
Continually writing articles about your product, continually getting in people's face (in a positive way), can generate upwards of a hundred or more targeted readers to your site a day. That amounts to approximately 3000 monthly visitors, a real nice kick start to any campaign.
You will quickly learn that it takes approximately one out of every hundred people to buy your product. Which means those 3000 visitors equates to somewhere around 30 sales, more or less, for the month.
A good beginning, but still not enough to live on.
So do the math.
You need your website to generate 1,000 or more daily targeted hits if you wish to start earning a living online. One thousand daily hits means you could possibly generate as many as ten sales per day based on the average statistic.
I can see your eyes light up at the prospect of all those monthly sales turning into a very good income, but to really make it work you must think in terms of two, three or more products out there at the same time, all generating the needed traffic to your websites.
For many people, it's too much like hard work, and yet for others, it can turn into the proverbial pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
So which one are you, and isn't it time you got your piece of the pie?
