If you have ever contemplating writing Articles for money, specifically for Webmasters/ePublishers of eZines, eNewsletters, eBooks, Blogs, and Websites, then you may want to read the following tips.
Website Articles differ somewhat from those found in the print media.
Print media Articles are fashioned to grab the reader's immediate attention in a desperate bid to encourage them to buy the magazine or newspaper that instant, at the newstand or while standing at the supermarket checkout. There is no second chance for them.
A website article's mission in life is a simple one, to firstly provide Search Engines with optimum "keywords", thereby attracting those greedy little search-and-gather spiders crawling the Internet, and then great content.
When search engines are unable to direct users to an Article lacking essential search engine optimization (SEO) techniques, not only does the author lose but so does the website or ezine showing the article.
Websites are not in business to lose. Articles which continually fail to attract search engine users, will see requests for further articles dry up.
It's the old chicken and egg story again - which came first?
Content/SEO or SEO/content?
It breaks down this way...
Any article must incorporate strong Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques in order to first attract search engine visitors. That is most important in order to stay alive in this business.
Once visitors arrive as a result of the search engines, the article content must then grab and hold the visitors attention long enough to encourage them to stay, check things out, and become customers.
It's obvious that while methodical SEO efforts and great content go hand-in-hand, one not being able to live without the other, that it is the SEO techniques which are all important to get the visitors there in the first place.
The strongest, most passionate, eloquently written content can end up like so much wasted effort if no one is there to read it.
Sound SEO practices are one of the biggest tools in any article writing arsenal.
A well written article properly optimized and content rich, will mean the difference between one found by a few casual surfers, or one searched and found by millions of potential customers.
