Using An Autoresponder To Publish Your eNewsletter (or eZine) |

The resiliency of autoresponders never ceases to amaze me. I mean, they can be put to so
much good use, in so many different ways, one wonders how the early emarkerters managed
without them.
Let's talk about one, out of a multitude of business uses, an autoresponder can accommodate.
If you are online and in business for yourself, I'm sure you've considered setting up an
eNewsletter to distribute to all your customers in one form or another.
And since autoresponders are usually set up to send automatic responses at preset intervals
to people on your customer or email list, one of the most useful purposes it can undertake is to
service an eNewsletter customer list. eNewsletter, in case you are not aware, stands for electronic
newsletter, as opposed to a printed newsletter which would be mailed through the snail mail (post office).
In choosing to talk about autoresponders servicing an eNewsletter list, means that sending one out on a
regular basis can become a bit confusing at times.
A lot also depends on whether you plan on using an autoresponder service, where a monthly
subscription rate is charged, and there's virtually no problem setting up because the company
guides you through the whole process.
Or you intend to buy and set-up an autoresponder on your own, which I might add can be a tiresome,
and frustrating exercise if you are not familiar with what you are doing. But the cost savings
far out number any aggravation you may suffer in the beginning, after all, purchasing the
autoresponder program is a one time fee.
Using an autoresponder to maintain and distribute an eNewsletter to your subscriber
list is a wonderful idea. The entire distribution is handled for you, based on the preset
schedule you set-up. Your subscribers must be opt-in members, with the freedom to opt-out
whenever they so desire.
Without the automation an autoresponder provides, managing a subscribers list could become
very difficult at the best of times, more especially once it surpasses the first thousand
members.
An autoresponder really shines in the preparation and delivery of each eNewsletter issue to
your opt-in email list. It allows you to prepare each issue well in advance of the scheduled
emails to your member list.
It is delivered precisely on the days you so choose, and you don't even have to be sitting at
a computer when it happens. The pre-programmed schedule goes into action delivering tens of
thousands of your eNewsletter in a matter of minutes, at the precise moment you scheduled
it to do so, all automatically timed.
You could be off on vacation for months, and not ever have to worry about your eNewsletter
being emailed on time to your members.
Autoresponder automation, is a great tool that makes owning an online business that much easier.
All autoresponder eNewsletters are saved. Members can easily request past issues they may
have saved for one reason or another, but misplaced, or you could set up an archived file of past
eNewsletter issues in which they could access at their convenience.
You can also use the tracking feature throughout each issue, and calculate the number of
clicks different parts of your eNewsletter are getting. This is a good way to determine how
well your products are doing, and if maybe the sales approach used for any one of the products
should be changed due to weak click on's.
If you are seriously planning to purchase an autoresponder, remember this, they are all not created
equally. Some are much better than others, and at more reasonable prices. So do your due
diligence and shop around before plunking down any coin. Compare programs to each other, and
see the features each has to offer, before making your decision.
The same is true if you are thinking of going with an autoresponder service. There are some
very good ones that come to mind, and then there are the ones you would not go near with a
barge pole.
Whichever way you decide to go is not really important, it comes down to an individual preference,
but what is important is that you do make having an autoresponder a high priority on your list.
