Look Ma, I'm An eBook Author |

Let's examine a shortened process for publishing eBooks and explore
some of its advantages using email, websites, and blogs.
1.
Thoroughly research the market first to determine if your eBook has some merit.
A first-time author will usually grab an idea, and run with it by writing an 800
page eBook without first examining the market need on the subject. Check if the market for
the subject line you want is already saturated or wanting, and act accordingly.
2.
The great thing about working on eBooks, is the searching and digging you can do
right on the Internet for storyline material. The information world at your fingertips.
3.
Next, instead of writing a full blown eBook or manual, write
a small 30 page report, a booklet, or just a chapter or two. Then send
it off to some experts in the field on your eBook's subject for critique
and review. You'll be amazed how helpful they can be.
They will often give helpful suggestions and even correct errors for you,
all for free if you do this right.
Remember to inject your own personality into your eBook. By doing this,
your unique slant on things will shine through, and your eBook will really
stand out from everything else that's out there.
4.
Once you've got your report or booklet cleaned up, you could
offer it free for a limited time on your website or even someone
else's. You could make this offer conditional by asking for opinions
and feedback for the free offer.
5.
After having tested this report or booklet on the open market,
and received some rave reviews and testimonials, that's your green
light to proceed with your project.
Create several eBooks in a series, or one unique masterpiece.
You already know it will sell from your testing efforts.
As mentioned earlier, nonfiction is hands down the best category for eBook publishing and
making solid Internet sales. Information is king on the Internet, everyone wants
to learn whatever it is you do well.
What better way to make your publishing pay off immediately, than supplying the masses
what they want and need, right now.
Don't wait three years to get your book on the shelves. As soon as your eBook
is completed, epublish it to a waiting audience of millions on the Internet.
6.
Another big advantage is the ability to change and update a digital eBook
at a moments notice. Imagine for a moment having to change 3000 copies of a book
already printed and sitting in a warehouse somewhere.
Updating your eBooks won't involve more printing costs, and it can extend the life
of your eBook indefinately. There's no limit to the updates you can make.
Obviously there is more to eBook publishing than what I've covered here.
This is a very brief guideline to get you started, but you do have the general idea
now.
7.
And finally:
- You'll have full control over your eBook including when it gets
published
- You will not have publishers and agents to deal with
- You'll keep all the profits from sales of your eBooks
- You'll not have to settle for six to ten percent commission only
- You'll not have to wait three years to get published
- You'll not have unsold copies gathering dust in your basement
- You'll not need $13,000 to $15,000 to get started, just the price of the software.
- Nonfiction eBooks sell very well on the Internet, and going stronger than ever.
