Are You Missing Out On Free Advertising?

Most important to any Free Advertising you go after to help promote your website, is the creation of a Signature Profile (sig file).

When you get to the end of this article, look under "About the Author", and you will see my Signature Profile. It addresses who I am, what I do, and my credentials for writing this article. More importantly, and a good reason for writing this article, the sig file will include my name along with a direct link to my site so the reader can visit my website, which in my case just happens to be this site: CyberAdz.biz.

The sig file I have used here is specifically tailored for article writing, ezine articles, and ebooks, and is considered a Full Signature Profile. In other instances a Short Signature Profile may be all you need, which will include your name, and the name of your Website.

The shorter version is more suited to leaving comments in a guest book, a blog, or a forum. As you read the rest of the article, you will have a greater appreciation for having your Signature Profile (sig file) ready at all times.

  • Always Leave A Message
    Whenever you visit a website that has a discussion board for the public to leave messages or post questions, take advantage of this opportunity. Comment on the interesting content or proffer a compliment about the website. Put a question to them about one of the products if you have to, but always make sure to include your signature profile at the end of the message. In some cases, discussion boards also allow you to post your banner ad or text link, take advantage of both.


  • Sign Guest Books
    When you visit a well designed, well thought out website, be sure to leave a compliment in their guest book. Mention their content, ease of navigation, graphics, but by all means, be genuine with your praise. After posting your comments be sure to include your Signature Profile so other people will read it when signing the guest book.


  • Write A Review
    When you come across a website you thoroughly enjoy because of its uniqueness or content, write a review for the website. Mention the benefits gained from the site, by their use of website colors and design features you found intriguing, and the interesting online products and services it may offer. Then email your review to the website. Let them know they can publish it on their website if they choose, but to be sure and include your Signature Profile.


  • Give Testimonials
    After having purchased a product or service online, and it more than exceeds your expectations, immediately email the company a testimonial. In your testimonial list the benefits you derived from their product or service. Give your permission to publish the testimonial on their website as long as they include your Signature Profile.


  • Send An eMail To The Editor
    How many times have you read a good article or enjoyed a particular ezine? What a great time to email a compliment to the editor about the article you thoroughly enjoyed. Give the editor permission to publish the compliment in their ezine as long as they include your Signature Profile. You might be surprised at the response.


  • Never Leave A Blog Without Leaving A Comment
    You could spend 365 days a year doing nothing else but visiting blogs, and leaving a comment or two with your short signature profile. Some blogs command upwards of thousands upon thousands of visitors a day, so put some thought and effort into your comments and/or questions as a way to entice people to want to get to know more about you. How do they do that? They visit your website after having seen the name on your Signature Profile following your comments.
There are countless ways to get Free Advertising for your website, but I thought it important to mention these six, tried, tested, and true methods which have historically brought great results time-after-time.
