Powerful Strategies To Keep Them
Coming Back For More
by: Shayne Genoway © Copyright 2006

Here are highly effective and powerful strategies to encourage visitors to return again, and again.

Start by offering Free original content; software, ebooks, articles, secrets, memberships.

Strive to be your target audience's main source of information, news, updates, changes, and they will flock to your Website to keep up-to-date on the latest and greatest information you can present on the subject of their interest.

People love good deals on software, but they love it even more when it's Free. Offer Free software that is new and useful, and they will keep coming back to make sure they do not miss your next great offering.

Create a directory of like minded Websites that relate to your target audience. I know, I know, that means you will be telling visitors about your competition. People will come to rely and trust your good judgment, and know you genuinely have their best interests at heart, otherwise why else would you be recommending other sites. They will learn to rely on you as their number one source for honest to goodness advice, and believe in you as long as you always remain fair, honest, and consistent with them. But they will be loyal to you forever.

Get them to your site, and then do whatever is legally necessary to keep them there and keep them wanting to come back, with special deals, contests, forums, up-to-date news, events, information, sales, discounts, upgrades, tutorials, discussion groups, along with good reliable products at fair market value backed by a guarantee that stands second to none.

Show your undying loyalty to your customers and they will reciprocate in kind, and you will never want for lack of visitors to your Website again.

Everyone loves to make money, get an affiliate program up and running on your Website. They will be their happiest when making money off a product you recommend. Trusting your great judgment, they will eagerly return to your Website to make sure they do not miss out on any other money-makers you may showcase.

Supply current news stories related to your Website theme or niche. People want to hear the latest scoop on the topics they are interested in, so why not be that central repository of information. If you hear it first and get it out to them immediately, they will remember and frequent your Website for the latest updates on what's happening in their market.

Running a free eZine or eNewsletter for people will not only build your mailing list, it is the best form of communication because you do not have to wait for them to come to you, they will expect your eNewsletter to be emailed on a regular daily or weekly basis. Let them know they will always get preferential treatment for new products, price discounts, upgrades, call-backs, ground breaking news, over those not on your eNewsletter emailing list.

Contests are great because we all have an inherent need and genuine love to enter on the chance we can win a prize. Ensure the prize is a quality product and not some free ebook giveaway everyone else has been offering free the past couple of months. Make deals with authors to offer their eBook as the top prize on your Website. Tell them their ebook or software stands to gain all kinds of free advertising by being the grand prize offered that month. Authors love when their ebook receives any extra added promotion, so let them know a month's advertising blurb in your eNewsletter is included as part of the deal.

Start a membership drive on your Website loaded with software, products, affiliate programs, information and news they would have to scour through hundreds of separate sites to find. Include a forum and chat room, a survey corner, weekly tips and techniques which they could not otherwise get anywhere else. Surprise them with special discounts on products you have secured with software companies, who are more than willing to partake when they know there is a captive audience their product will be pitched to. Create a feeling of community on your Membership site, and it can only grow and prosper with time.

Conduct surveys on topics related to your Website theme, and get people talking with each other about the results on your forum. Create topics of interest for discussion on your forum either dealing with products, suppliers, or customers themselves.

Run a free course on a topic suited to your target audience, and have it delivered by autoresponder on a weekly basis, along with a couple well placed ads of your own, or ad space sold to outside interests.

Become proactive with your business, and be like a postage stamp, stick with it until you get there.
